  • I love Playscapes!

My favorite one they've posted recently is this one:

  • Good find!

That reminds me of a Family Circus cartoon.

I blogged about Playscapes with a few more photos -- that blog truly makes me so happy.  So visually stimulating!  So unconventional! I dig it.

Wish I had playgrounds this cool as a kid - though I did get to play on the park where they filmed E.T. ;) (you know, this one)

  • !

Emily, that's the caterpillar thing I was referring to in my post about scary playground equipment! We had one of those in my favorite park!

And here's the snail I tried, in vain, to climb:

  • gorgeous old rocket playgrounds

Just found the site of Lauren Orchowski, who has a set of photographs she's taken of retro playground equipment (still installed!) shaped like rockets.  Take a look!

Oh yeah, now I'm remembering we used to have some rocketship-shaped towers at our playground, too. Those were fun!

Sigh... of course, the kid obsessed with space did NOT have any rockets.  I'm starting a *new* thread - Most Awesome Playground Equipment!  :)
